Dean's Message
Dean’s message Universities, in general, are required to contribute to the society through education and research activities. The Faculty of Management Studies of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka was established based on new educational concepts. Its courses are neither conventional nor traditional. Through these specific courses, we hope to focus more at tention on skills, competencies and attitudinal changes of the under graduates rather than knowledge and theory, which is the need of the modern world. Hence, our faculty intends to continuously meet new challenges in order to contribute to the welfare of its region and regional society, Sri Lanka and its citizens and lastly the world and humanity as a whole. Furthermore, the Faculty of Management Studies of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka has an incomparably wide range of academic disciplines. Even as we have advanced specialized areas of expertise, we have actively developed new cross disciplinary approaches to education and research. Amid this rapidly changing global society, the functions of a faculty need to be restructured and we have realized that it our responsibility to take the lead role in conducting such reform.
